Grounds

When you look through your windows or open your door, this is what you'll see. Jenny Gulch Bed and Breakfast is located on over twelve acres of private land, surrounded by Black Hills National Forest. Below is a view of the studio and one of the meadows from a nearby hillside.

This is a view from another part of the property. Aspen trees are our favorite. They enter spring with pale apple green leaves, which darken through the summer. Through the autumn, they take on an incredible glowing yellow gold. Once the leaves have fallen, the beautiful form and color of the trunks and branches take center stage until spring comes again.

Here is a photo of the field below your room, taken from a hill adjoining the Jenny Gulch grounds. The nice thing about living on land surrounded by National Forest property is the miles and miles of trails lying just outside the gates.

This is my favorite tree. The birdfeeder (which doesn't show in the photo) came with the house. I'm not sure how the previous owners managed to fill it, but it looks whimsical in this huge old aspen, and the birds still come to visit, birdseed or not. This photo was taken in early spring from the yard in front of our house.
